"Running" With The Bulls

Today I went to my first ever NBA game! It was the Chicago Bulls against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Bulls won 95-78, a 17 point win for Chicago. The Bulls were in a tight one in the first half but "ran" away with it in the final 2 quarters. After the game, I got to hang out with some of the Bulls players. To be specific, I was hanging out with Mike Dunleavy Jr. (Guard/Forward), Nazr Mohammed (Center), Taj Gibson (Forward) and Joakim Noah (Center). You might say "I don't believe you" but I have evidence. Here are pictures of the players with me:

Taj Gibson
Nazr Mohammed
Mike Dunleavy Jr.
Joakim Noah

Before I end this post, I want to thank Taj Gibson and his family. They're family friends of mine and if they weren't I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity to meet these players.

Great Games Last Night On TNT

There were 2 great games on TNT last night. I bet you would be especially happy if you're a Bulls or Knicks fan. And not happy if you are a Nets or Heat fan. In the first game the Knicks beat the Nets by 30 points 113-83 and in game 2 the Bulls beat the Heat by 20 points 107-87.

2 NBA Rooks Make History In Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers (PHI) and the Orlando Magic (ORL) played in Philadelphia on Tuesday. You may think that the game was just a game of 2 boring teams that aren't good at all. Well, if that was the case, I wouldn't have made this post. The amazing thing about this game was for the first time in NBA history 2 rookies (Michael Carter-Williams PHI and Victor Oladipo ORL) both had triple-doubles (10+ in 3 helpful stats-rebounds, steals, points, assists, blocks, etc.) in the same game. Michael Carter-Williams had 27 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds and Victor Oladipo had 26 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Also, besides the rookie record Magic Guard Aaron Afflalo had 43 points.

Kobe Medically Cleared To Play After Torn ACL

Lakers Guard Kobe Bryant is medically cleared to play basketball. If you haven't been following basketball lately, or just forgot, Kobe Bryant tore his ACL (Achilles Tendon) on Friday April 12, 2013 against the Golden State Warriors. Now Kobe is medically cleared to play but he probably won't play until he's 100% healthy so he doesn't hurt his ACL more (like what D-Rose did).

He's Good To Go

Bulls VS. Raptors

The Chicago Bulls (my favorite team) are playing against the Toronto Raptors today in Toronto. Bulls star Derrick Rose is 'unlikely' to play with a hamstring injury.

My New Background!

If you haven't already realized, I have changed my background from the 2013-2014 season to a picture of my favorite player; Derrick Rose. I changed it because I'm a Chicago Bulls fan (which you probably already know) and my favorite player is D-Rose himself.

Early Playoff Picture

This is the NBA playoff picture through the first games of the season:

Pacers Beat Bulls To Stay As Only Undefeated Team In The NBA

The Indiana Pacers beat the Chicago Bulls 97-80. With the Pacers win, they are now 5-0. They are the only team in the NBA that hasn't lost a game. The Bulls on the other hand, with the loss to the Pacers they dropped down to a record of 1-3.

Bulls Lose To 76ers In A Heartbreaker

The Chicago Bulls lost to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday 107-104. The 76ers rookie Michael Carter-Williams had 26 points and 10 assists against the Bulls and that was a big part of the 76ers winning. Spencer Hawes also played a big role in the 76ers win as he had 18 points and 11 rebounds including a clutch shot that gave the 76ers a 3 point lead with just seconds remaining. Now the 76ers are 3-0 while the Bulls are 1-2.

The Chicago Bulls beat the New York Knicks 82-81. They won on a game-winning shot by none other than Derrick Rose with 5.7 seconds left in the game. If you want to see a game recap go to this link (link is in color). (There might be other videos afterwards).

Halloween!

Tomorrow is Halloween. What I'm going to be is a secret. I will try to show you peeps some pictures tomorrow but if I can't I'll try to show you pics ASAP.

Bulls Lose To Reigning Champs In An Unfair Refereed Game

My favorite team, the Chicago Bulls, lost to the reigning champs Miami Heat 107-95. They got their rings yesterday and they won yesterday because of an unfairly refereed game. For instance, Miami Heat Point Guard Mario Chalmers pushed Bulls Point Guard Kirk Hinrich and they called a foul on Hinrich (that was his 6th foul meaning he could not play for the rest of the game). Also, Bulls Center Joakim Noah went to dunk and Heat Center Chris Bosh clearly grabbed Noah's arm but they didn't call a foul. It was definitely an unfair refereed game, and that's why the Bulls lost. Hopefully that won't happen in the Bulls next game against the New York Knicks which is tomorrow at 8:00 pm on TNT.

Bulls Start Regular Season VS. Reigning Champs

The Chicago Bulls, after their 8-0 preseason record they will face a tough challenge in game 1 of the regular season. They will be facing the reigning back-to-back NBA champion Miami Heat. The game will be on tonight on TNT at 8:00 pm. The schedule stays tough as game 2 for Chicago will be against the Eastern Conference number 2 seed last year, the New York Knicks.

Bulls 8-0 Preseason

The Chicago Bulls got of to a hot preseason start and never cooled off. They won all 8 of their preseason games this season and are looking forward to the new NBA 2013-2014 campaign.

This Year So Far

The NBA preseason has been very exciting thus far. Especially for my favorite team the Chicago Bulls. They are 5-0 after beating the Indiana Pacers on Friday (as I explained in my last post).

Bulls 5-0

The Chicago Bulls beat the Indiana Pacers on Friday and are now 5-0 in the preseason. Derrick Rose had a great game with 32 points. The Bulls won this game without their starting Center Joakim Noah and starting Shooting Guard Jimmy Butler.

Carmelo Leaving The Knicks?

It doesn't look like Knicks superstar Carmelo Anthony is going to stay in New York- well at least for the Knicks. Click more to find out why.

Bulls Winning Streak Continues: 4-0 Start

The Chicago Bulls beat the Detroit Pistons 96-81. The Bulls got 2 of their star players back from injury (Joakim Noah and Derrick Rose). The Bulls top performers were Derrick Rose who had 22 points and Carlos Boozer who had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Bulls Strong Preseason Start

The Chicago Bulls (my favorite team) have gotten off to a great start. They are 3-0 (3 wins 0 loses) and they won their last game in Rio De Janeiro against the Washington Wizards 83-81. But I think this win was the best because the Bulls didn't have their starting Center Joakim Noah and their star Point Guard Derrick Rose active due to injury.

Thursday, October 10, 2013

Preseason Starts

Hey guys if you didn't know the preseason in the NBA has started it has. My favorite team, the Bulls won their first game against the Indiana Pacers 82-76 and crushed the Memphis Grizzlies 106-87. The NY Knicks won their first game against the Boston Celtics on a game-winner by the rookie Tim Hardaway Jr. The Brooklyn Nets also did well winning their first game against the Washington Wizards after Wizards rookie Glen Rice Jr. brought it into overtime with a buzzer-beating dunk. For more info on preseason go to NBA.com.

NBA Finals (If You Don't Already Know What The Outcome Is)

The NBA Finals ended in 7 games. The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs. I was going for the Spurs. They actually could've won but sadly that didn't happen. I know I'm like 5 months late and I'm sorry for it. I should've been more up to date. If you want to see scores, box scores, stats, etc. just touch Heat vs. Spurs NBA Finals 2013 (It's a link). Week 3

I wish I just finished college but I was still the same age. School is educational but I'd rather just play video games and eat chips. Sadly for me, I can't do that. I have to get edumacated- sorry educated. I want to be out of school but be educated at the same time so I can slack off all day. I know you guys are thinking "if this guy went to college why doesn't he have a job." Well I said I WISH I finished college. Anyways, I am not playing video games and yes, I am learning stuff.

NBA Finals

The NBA Finals has started. 6 games have passed but nobody has won the gold NBA Championship trophy. The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs have played 6 games and game 7 is tomorrow in Miami. The games have gone back and forth. The Spurs won Games 1, 3 and 5 while the Heat have won Games 2, 4 and 6.

NBA Finals Record

The San Antonio Spurs guard Danny Green set an NBA Finals record. This player was released by the Cavaliers once and the Spurs twice before he rejoined the team. He has 25 3-pointers in just 5 NBA finals games!

San Antonio Brings Out The Brooms: Who Will They Face In The Finals

Miami VS. Indiana: Eastern Conference Finals

The Miami Heat and the Indiana Pacers will play Game 1 today. The Pacers, after winning Game 6 against the Knicks will play the Heat. It will be a great, fought out series.

Spurs Get By Warriors And Now They Face Grizzlies

The San Antonio Spurs beat the Golden State Warriors in 6 games. Now they face Zach Randolph and the Memphis Grizzlies. The Grizzlies beat the number 4 seed Los Angeles Clippers in Round 1, and then beat the number 1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder in Round 2. However, the Grizzlies aren't off to the start they wanted to against the number 2 seed Spurs. The Spurs won by an astounding 22 points 105-83 with Zach Randolph only scoring 2 points. In Game 2 the Spurs won 93-89.

Manu Gets It Done In Game 1 But Game 2 Is Different

The San Antonio Spurs defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 in 2 overtimes by a game-winning 3-pointer by Manu Gnobli. However, Game 2 went to the Warriors 100-91 as Warrior guard Klay Thompson had 34 points.

Bulls Take Game 1 But Miami Blows Them Out In Game 2

The Miami Heat lost Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals to the Chicago Bulls. But that was Game 1. In Game 2 the Miami Heat destroyed the Bulls. They won by 37 points (final score 115-78). If you want to see Game 3 it will be on ESPN on Friday at 8:00 et 5:00 pt.

MVP Is Announced: LeBron

The MVP of the regular season was announced and it is ... LeBron James! LeBron won his 4th MVP and is now 1 of 5 players (Bill Rusell, Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) to win MVP 4 times or more.

Series Wins In The Playoffs

There is some news in the NBA Playoff race. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Denver Nuggets in 6 games. The Warriors won the series and are going on to face the number 2 seed San Antonio Spurs. The New York Knicks also won their series against the Boston Celtics in 6 games. Now they will play the Indiana Pacers who also just won their series against the Atlanta Hawks in 6 games.

Testing Is Over. Yay!

Testing is finally over. It was hard to do but I got through it. So did every basketball player in the NBA. Players in the NBA had to go through all of this to get to the stage that there at. Every NBA player needs a backup plan because if something happens, they won't have anything to do.

Bring Out The Brooms

The Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs showed that they can win. These 2 teams are the only teams that swept their series in the 2013 NBA Playoffs. The Heat ( best team in the East) unsurprisingly beat the worst team in the East (that's in the Playoffs) in the Milwaukee Bucks. The Spurs beat the LA Lakers in the first 4 games. This might be the 2 teams in the NBA Finals this year.

J.R. Smith Goes Off VS. Celtics

J.R. Smith of the New York Knicks won Sixth Man of the Year and got his reward on Wednesday as they played the Boston Celtics. It was Game 2 in the series and the Knicks had won Game 1. J.R. Smith had 19 points and an amazing 3-point shot to end the first quarter. Sadly, he got suspended for Game 4 because he elbowed Celtic guard Jason Terry. The Knicks ended up losing Game 4 but if J.R. Smith was playing they probably would've won the series and swept the Celtics.

The Latest In The NBA/NCAA

The NBA (pros) and the NCAA (college) have a LOT of news. For instance in the NBA the Lakers Shooting Guard Kobe Bryant passed Wilt Chamberlain for 4th in the all-time scoring list in the NBA. Now Bryant is only behind Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In the NCAA March Madness is getting better and better. It's the Final Four and the teams and matches are:

Stat Out For Knicks

The New York Knicks foward/center A'mare Stoudemire is out beause of injury to his right knee. Stat is expected to miss 6 to 8 weeks because of this injury. With Carmelo Anthony out also I would not want to be the Knicks with good players out because the Knicks need them to get the number 1 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

LeBron's Milestone

The Miami Heat have many good players. LeBron James is one of them. LeBron scored his 1,000 career three pointer. That's a milestone that most people wish they had in their record book.

Also the Chicago Bulls Derrick Rose is medically cleared to play after his torn ACL in the playoffs last year but will not play until he feels that he's ready.
